Hi I’m Chenell! I’m a 29-year-old from Philadelphia who is passionate about internet marketing and online business.
I have been helping small business owners with digital marketing and website optimization for the last 3 years – and love it!
I enjoy what I do because it combines my love for helping small business owners succeed, with my ability to be able to find mistakes (let’s call them opportunities for improvement) within their marketing campaigns.
So what do I do exactly? Well, I run pay-per-click advertising campaigns on Google and Facebook for small business owners. But not only that, I go through campaigns with a fine-tooth comb to make sure they are set up properly to make sure you are capturing as many sales as possible.
I enjoy helping small business owners improve their conversion rates and improve the experience for their customers. The best way I’ve found to do that is to use my ability to quickly find mistakes and show you how to fix them so you can spend more time creating, and less time optimizing what you’ve already built.
To do this, I run marketing funnel and website audits to make sure what you’ve spent so much time building actually works on every device.
Why Help Small Business Owners?
My stepdad is a serial entrepreneur who, like most small business owners, succeeded in some of his ventures and failed miserably at others.
What I love about small business owners like him, is the drive you have to succeed and truly provide value to your customers. You aren’t out there just to pretend that you care and take people’s money – you actually have a strong passion for what you do.
After all, entrepreneurship is freaking hard, and very difficult to sustain without the drive to help people and an overall excitement about what you’re doing.
In addition to being hard, when you’re working with a small marketing budget, you almost have to learn as you go and do the best you can with what you know.
Because of this, many small business owners take the “DIY” approach to their digital marketing campaigns and website creation. The problem is, there are so many nuances and common mistakes you can make that will render your ad budget or website a complete waste of time.
Worst of all, many of the articles that come up when you search for “do it yourself PPC” are written by agencies who basically tell you it is useless to run your own campaigns, and that you should spend thousands of dollars to hire them or you will fail.
I wanted to do something different.
Yes, it’s easier to just hire someone else to do it – but entrepreneurship isn’t about doing what’s easy, it’s about making the best financial decisions to keep your business running. That often means doing things yourself for a while until you grow large enough to be able to hire someone to help.
For many, the best decision is to learn as you go and keep costs down at least until you can prove it is a viable channel for your company.
Do it yourself, and I’ll help you find the mistakes.
Whether it be finding something small like a simple typo, to a major element of the page that can be fixed and drastically improve your conversion rate, most ad campaigns have mistakes – even the big companies with millions of dollars make mistakes.
You could be completely blocking visitors from completing the action you want them to take, and not even realize it.
These “opportunities” are almost impossible for me to ignore, and they’ve caused me to be on the receiving end of some dirty looks over time – I’m just trying to help! 🙂
I’m not doing this to make you feel good about your website or marketing funnel, I’m doing it to help improve your sales – and sometimes that may mean I publicly air some companies’ dirty laundry to teach online business owners like you how they can fix the issue, or avoid it altogether.
If you’re interested, sign up to receive our weekly newsletter which offers audits of current campaigns, as well as how to fix the mistakes those companies are making.
You can also email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions about your ad campaigns and website.
This site contains a lot of real-world examples. I am in no way exposing these issues merely as a way of “poking fun” at companies. I am doing it in an effort to help others learn and grow by avoiding the same mistakes others have made.
In addition, I want these companies to see some of the big opportunities they may have in their digital strategy.
NO CAMPAIGN OR WEBSITE IS PERFECT. Not even close.
If you’ve been randomly selected to appear in a post on this site and would like more advice on where to go from here, please feel free to contact me. I would love to help, and have a lot of people I can refer you to that can help in areas where I am not as experienced.
